Humans have lived with the fact that the world is diverse, but we have the tendency to envelope our life with a certain single common form that ignores, and sometimes even despises other forms. We promote diversity as a blessing, not a curse, but our behavior often contradicts what we promote. Differences that make up diversity are positioned in a hierarchy, utilized as tools to create or maintain dependency, or used to dominate others. While we keep saying that music is diverse and yet universal, we tend to favor and listen to, again, the same particular forms as if there were nothing as good or better. Music Diary is designed to prove not only that there are thousands of musical expressions around the world that are stimulating, but also to show how they have actually influenced and enriched the music world.
